Gelatin can be used as a protein supplement - it is another form of collagen and helps your body to build muscle and is good for skin.
When compared to collagen, gelatin causes foods and drinks to gel and therefore cannot be taken in larger quantities. Gelatin also has a stronger bovine smell which may not be ideal in milder drinks like tea or juice.
